Event Sign Up Policy for Team Members

To all Alliance players:

Here is the process we will use to determine which players play in particular events, tournaments, etc.

1.)  When a game or tournament is coming up all team members will be notified of the specific date and time that sign up will be open. This will take place several days to approximately a week in advance of the open sign up.  This will give players time to check their schedules and make arrangements before the posting date so they will know if they can make it or not before the actual posting and sign up opens.

2.) Once the event has been opened up for players to sign up anyone interested in signing up will call 512-974-4773 and leave a voicemail with their name and specifically what event they wish to play in.  The voicemail system automatically logs the date and time the message was left.

3.) The first 14 (13 skaters / 1 goalie or two goalies in some cases) to sign up to play for their perspective tier teams will have priority. Each person will submit their name with an intent to play. After those initial 14/15 names players will be put on a waiting/alternate player list in order. This will be done in order to fill spots when people have to back out due to injury, family or work obligations as they arise.

4.) A deadline for payment to be received will be distributed to all members prior to the sign up period.  The players who submit their name in time and are in the priority 14 or 15 will be expected to pay the amount indicated on or before the date listed (generally within one week of signing up). If your payment is not made by then your spot will be released to the next on the waiting list. If there is no one else on the waiting list you will be responsible for paying even if you can't make it and will not be able to participate in any other events until you are fully paid up for past events.

5.) for events that public safety employment is not required (such as charity events, league teams, etc.) priority will be given to public safety team members...after that we will fill spots with family members and friends of public safety team members...if you have a family member or friend that would like to participate we will put them on a waiting list as well

This policy was created because our roster continues to grow on a daily basis and we needed to set a team standard that we can all get used to.  This seems to be the best way to accomplish this while being fair and providing equal opportunity to all.
