San Antonio Hockey Tournament

The Alliance recently competed in the Alamo City Classic in San Antonio, TX. June 13-15. The Alliance brought two teams to the tournament and all had a good time.

DFW Titans Tournament Update

The Centex Hockey team recently participated in a public safety hockey tournament April 11th - 13th at Dr. Pepper Star Center in Grapevine Mills Mall. The event was put on by the Dallas-Fort Worth Titans Public Safety Hockey Association.  All had a good time and everyone played hard.

The team recently participated in a mixed player league (players of different talent levels mixed together on one team) in the Spring of 2008 at Chaparral Ice Center in Austin, TX.

Centex vs. San Antonio Fire Department

THANKS!--Thank you to President Marc Cole and the Central Texas Hockey Officials Association for volunteering their time free of charge for both games against the SAFD Hosehounds in March 2008. Marc and Dan Graesser called the Tier I game and Aaron Chockla and Jayme Holmes called the Tier II game in the morning. Your generosity helped us significantly to contribute more to the family of San Antonio Firefighter Roger Dennis who died of a heart attack on duty a short time before the event. The Central Texas Alliance battled against the veteran and highly talented San Antonio Hose Hounds Fire Department Team on Saturday, March 15. Team II of Centex, consisting of players new to the sport played a Hose Hounds Team with some of their newer players Saturday morning.

The March 15 game took place at Chaparral Ice in Austin, TX with donations collected benefiting Roger Dennis Jr., a San Antonio Fire Fighter that recently passed away while on duty. Dennis was a thirty-four year veteran of the San Antonio Fire Department.
